Bill Doak, the Knoxville boy, whose sensational pitching has done much to put the St. Louis Cardinals up in their present high position in the National league race, is now leading the old organization twirlers, having passed Mathewson and Vaughn, the latter being the leader last week.
Doak has been in 25 games and has a record of 13 victories and 4 defeats. He has scored 5 shutouts. His average is .765 points better than that of Mathewson, who has won 19 and lost 6. Vaughn has an average of .750, having won 15 games and lost 5.
