Another organized baseball representative to come to Pittsburgh for the purpose of saving players was President Schuyler Britton of the St. Louis Nationals. He succeeded in signing Pitcher Bill Doak, the Knoxville boy, and left for Rochester, Pa., to get the signature of Pitcher Casey Hagerman.
